Beach Attendant (Seasonal)

The Town of Halifax is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Beach Attendant in the Parks Commission Office.

This position will be responsible for performing tasks related to the general functioning of the Fourth Ave Beach such as coordinating parking, ensuring that vehicles have proper permits/stickers, monitoring boat launch ramp, ensuring that safety procedures are being followed, and assisting with activities.

This is a seasonal position, beginning on the third weekend of May and continuing until the second weekend of September. The Fourth Ave Beach hours of operation are from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday, Memorial Day Monday, and Labor Day Monday. Depending on various circumstances, start and finish times may vary, but the employee is generally expected to work those days and times listed.

Applicants must have a valid work permit and the availability to work the required hours. Must have transportation to and from work. As a condition of employment, the applicant must be CORI certified and successfully pass a drug test.

Pay rate: $15.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for benefits.
