Sealer of Weights & Measures

Duties & Responsibilities

The Sealer of Weights and Measures is appointed by the Board of Selectmen per Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 98, Section 35and inspects measuring devices ranging from gasoline and diesel pumps to scales at cash registers and has the powers and duties enumerated in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 98, Section 34.
