RecycleSmart’s website (https://recyclesmartma.org) describes this tool as a widget that “allows anyone who visits our website to search hundreds of common items (from paper bags to pizza boxes) to find out if they belong in the recycling bin or elsewhere.”
The public is able to access the “Recyclopedia” tool by using the direct-link (https://www.halifax-ma.org/home/pages/recyclopedia), but to make it easier for staff to share and residents to access, IT has created a shortened URL (https://hfxma.us/RecycleSmart -- the “https://” is not required).
The public may also access the tool by clicking on the “Recyclopedia” link on the Town website’s homepage under “Quick Links” or from the Recycling Center’s webpage, by clicking “Recyclopedia” on the left-hand menu.
IT has attached a QR code that can be used on print media (flyers, cards, labels, etc.) if desired. This will allow the ability for someone to scan the QR code with their mobile device and be directed to the “Recyclopedia” website tool.
