Foreclosed Property Registration
In May 2017, the Town of Halifax approved Chapter 236 of the Code of the Town of Halifax (Registration and Maintenance of Foreclosed Properties). This by-law requires that entities that foreclose on properties to file a foreclosure registration and to file this registration on an annual basis along with maintaining the property. The Town recently created the registration form will give all entities until March 1, 2018, to register the properties under their care.
