The Town of Halifax, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Prime Contractors for the roof replacement and exterior repairs to the Halifax Highway Barn, located at 60 Hemlock Lane in Halifax, MA. In accordance with the documents prepared by Angelo A. Kyriakides, Architect, Inc. dated June 2, 2023. The project consists of roof replacement, insulation, siding, masonry repairs, and new overhead doors, as indicated on the drawings. The work is estimated to cost $250,000-$275,000.00 including all alternates.

Bids are subject to M.G.L.; c.149 44 A-J to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26-27 H, inclusive.

General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work: Roofing- Must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime Update Statement (form CQ3). General Bids will be received at the Halifax Board of Selectmen's Office, Halifax Town Hall, 499 Plymouth Street, Halifax MA 02338, until 2pm Tuesday, August 15, 2023, and publicly opened forthwith and read aloud.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available at the Town Website (https://www.halifaxma.org} or at the Halifax Board of Selectman Office 499 Plymouth Street, Halifax, MA 02338.
Bids not submitted on original forms shall be deemed non-responsive. A pre-bid conference will be held at the project site at 60 Hemlock Lane, Halifax MA on July 26, 2023, at 9am for all prospective bidders. Bidders requesting clarifications of any documents must do so in writing and addressing all questions to the Architect no later than the close of business on August 1, 2023.
Wages are subject to minimum wages as per M.G.L., Chapter 30, Section 39M.

All contractors are responsible for obtaining the latest copy of the bid specifications and any addendum from the Town of Halifax website.
