Halifax Town Government - What Is Open? What is Closed?

Cemetery Department - Office closed indefinitely - services being provided

Council on Aging - Closed indefinitely - services being provided

Highway Department - Office closed indefinitely - services being provided

Holmes Public Library - Now providing curbside pickup service and the book drop is open

Playgrounds - Closed indefinitely

Police Department - Drop off of prescription medicines suspended

Recycling Center - The Recycling Center hours are as follows for the month of May.

Wednesday, May 20, 2020 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wednesday, May 27, 2020 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Saturday, May 30, 2020 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
 
For your Safety and the Safety of our employees the following rules apply to all:
No walk-ins allowed.
Everyone in vehicle must be wearing a mask.
We will empty your vehicle.
Do not leave your vehicle; no one can walk around the Recycling Center property. NO EXCEPTIONS
Recycling should be in the back of the vehicle to avoid as much contact as possible
No cash- Checks only NO EXCEPTIONS
Bulk and metal items will be removed from your vehicle at the outside containers
Swap Shed and Book shed are closed, and will remain closed indefinitely
Boy Scout Collection of nickel deposits is closed, and will remain closed indefinitely
 
The re-start of the "pink bag" pick-up service through Simple Recycling has been delayed. When a new re-start date has been determined it will be posted.

Sports programs (baseball, softball, basketball, soccer) - Suspended indefinitely

Town Hall - Closed indefinitely - services being provided

Water Department - Closed indefinitely - services being provided
