Senior Tax Work-Off Program
The Council on Aging, working with the Board of Assessors' Office, oversees and managers the Senior Tax Work-Off Program.
Eligibility Requirements for Senior Tax Exemption
- Be sixty (60) years of age or older on or before July 1st, 2024.
- Annual income is less than $36,792 for a single individual or less than $55,332 for a married couple which includes cost-of-living adjustments.
- Total value of assets such as savings and checking accounts, vacation home(s), IRA stocks, mutual funds, and pensions (not including the value of your home), is less than $55,185 for a single individual or less than $75,085 for a married couple.
