TOWN OF HALIFAX CABLE TELEVISION
LICENSE RENEWAL PROCEEDING
The Board of Selectmen of the Town of Halifax, as cable television licensing authority under MGL 166A, s. 1, is conducting cable television license renewal proceedings regarding Comcast Communications and its expiring cable license. In furtherance thereof the Board of Selectmen will hold a public cable license renewal hearing on November 23, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 499 Plymouth Street, Halifax as part of the Town’s license renewal proceedings pertaining to Comcast.

The Town of Halifax’s Comcast license expires April 21, 2024. The federal Cable Act, 47 USC 546, requires a public proceeding to ascertain the community’s cable-related needs and interests as part of the license renewal process applicable to cable licenses. Public comment is invited regarding the Town’s Comcast license renewal needs going forward and regarding cable operator past performance. The hearing is for the purpose of accepting comments and information regarding the license renewal needs of the Town and no final licensing decisions shall be taken, nor are final licensing decisions before the Town, at said November 23, 2021 public hearing.
