2025 Annual Town Election - Nomination Papers & Important Deadlines
The town's 2025 Annual Town Election is scheduled to occur on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at the Halifax Elementary School, 464 Plymouth Street from 10 am to 6 pm.
Nomination papers are available and can be picked up at the Town Clerk's office, 499 Plymouth Street. A list of open positions being placed on the ballot are posted on the Elections & Registration web page and can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
2025 Town Election Deadlines
- Obtain Nomination Papers: Wednesday, March 26th, 2025
- Submit Nomination Papers for Certification: Friday, March 28th, 2025
- Object or Withdraw: Tuesday, April 15th, 2025
- Register to Vote (for Town Meeting and Town Election): Friday, May 2nd, 2025
- Apply for a Mail-In Ballot: Monday, May 12th, 2025
- Apply for an Absentee Ballot: Friday, May 16th, 2025, by 12 pm
Candidates must obtain a minimum of thirty-five (35) signatures from registered voters. The Town Clerk strongly recommends all candidates obtain at least five (5) additional signatures.
