Billiard/ Pool Table

The Halifax Board of Selectmen issues licenses for pool tables and billiards tables under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 140, Section 177 which requires the licensing of billiards, pool or sippio table or bowling alley.  A public hearing is required. The license is for Monday-Saturday. Sunday operation requires a separate Sunday Entertainment License. The annual fee is $60 per table and expires on May 1st. The applicant must check with the Planning Board to determine if a site plan review is required for this activity.
