The Halifax Board of Selectmen is accepting applications for the position of Council on Aging Director. Applications and full job description available at halifax.ma.us - Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or sufficient years of employment in the field to develop the same level of trade knowledge in Elder Care, Social Services or a related field including at least one to two (1-2) years in a supervisory capacity. CORI certification is required. Valid Class D Motor Vehicle Driver's License required. First Aid and CPR Certification preferred. Administers, directs and coordinates all ongoing activities of the Council on Aging; plans and implements social, recreational, health, education travel programs and referrals geared to the interests, needs and financial means of the elderly and other residents that are served by the Council on Aging; ensures that staffing levels are maintained to provide services in a timely and safe manner. Responsible for departmental policies, budgets, and personnel. Other duties as per the job description. Reports to the Council on Aging and the Board of Selectmen. 40 hours per week with benefits. Pay: $61,176 to $70,446 per year. EOE
