Proposed By-Law Changes - Planning Board Public Hearing - Status

It is expected that the Planning Board's public hearing concerning proposed zoning by-laws will occur on Thursday, August 6 at 7:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Elementary School. While the hearing will be taped for later broadcast on public access Area 58 and YouTube, it is not expected to be "live" via Zoom.

The subjects of the hearing include:

1) A number of amendments to sections of the zoning by-law concerning multi-family housing;

2) Allowing recreational marijuana establishments in the commercial/business zone by special permit;

3) Updates to the sections concerning the floodplains in order to comply with FEMA requirements (although FEMA has now asked that the Town take no action on these updates - it is expected that these updates will be brought up at a Town Meeting in 2021.
