Special Town Meeting - October 21

The Board of Selectmen has scheduled a special town meeting in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Halifax Elementary School on Monday, October 21 beginning at 7:30pm. The deadline for the submission of articles for the town meeting is Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Articles need to be submitted to the Board of Selectmen by that date. Articles via citizen petition require the signatures of 100 registered voters from Halifax in order to be included on a warrant for a special town meeting (petition articles can be submitted for the annual town meeting on May 11, 2020 with 10 signatures).

Anyone wishing to vote at the Town Meeting must be a registered voter in Halifax. Residents can register to vote at the Town Clerk's office or on-line at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ by Thursday, October 10.

A copy of the warrant should be available on-line no later than Thursday, September 26. Copies of the warrant will be sent to all households.
