Electricity Aggregation Program Mailing

Power lines
Some residents in Halifax may be receiving information in the mail from the Colonial Power Group about the Town's electricity aggregation/community choice power program. The mailing should go out to residents who have National Grid's "Basic Service" and have not received previously mailings. Instructions as to how to opt-out of the aggregation program are contained in the mailing.

National Grid's rates will increase from $0.09707/kWh to $0.14821/kWh on November 1, 2021. Residents can decide to participate or leave the aggregation program at no charge. However, if you are under contract with another supplier, that supplier may charge you to leave the contract you have with that supplier.
