COVID-19 Cases as of April 13, 2020

The Town of Halifax was informed of some sad news during the weekend. A resident of Halifax, age in the 70s, who was living in a senior care facility in another community, died of COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 8. That is the first reported fatality for Halifax due to COVID-19. The Town is not providing the name of the deceased as it feels that it is up to the family to decide when and if to release this information.

The total number of positive cases in Halifax, including the deceased, is now 19. The information about recovered cases is sent to the Town less quickly than the information for the number of positive cases, so the number of recovered cases remains at 3.
