Anti-Vaping Presentation for Parents

SLRMS will have an anti-vaping presentation on January 15th at 6:00 p.m., entitled Vaping Me Crazy.   This presentation will address concerns regarding vaping and other behaviors that put our children at risk.   As our guest speaker, Michael DeLeon, states:  "Middle and High school students have absolutely no idea how dangerous the e-cigarette, vaping and JUULing trend is to their brains and bodies or the long-term health consequences they subject themselves to and the compounding increase in the likelihood of addiction."

During the presentation Mr. DeLeon will also address "the chasm between what parents need to know and the current trends necessary to understand now, (and) the importance of parental education and awareness. The threats to youth (from) years ago have changed, and the terminology you thought you understood needs new understanding.   What are the conversations you need to have?  Where does connection fit in with this digital world? Where do we go from here?"
