Nutrition Programs

Halifax Council on Aging partners with Old Colony Elder Services (OCES) to provide essential nutrition services to Halifax seniors by maintaining programs such as Meals-on-Wheels and Social Meal Lunches at the Council on Aging. Through this partnership, the Council on Aging is staffed with a certified Nutrition Manager, who pays special attention to your diet needs. OCES Social Lunch Group:

Join the Social Lunch Group on Mondays and Wednesdays for a lunch provided by OCES, a sponsor of Meals-on-Wheels and other healthy nutrition programs. Registration is required two (2) days in-advance by contacting the the Council on Aging at (781) 293-7313, extension 138. Free transportation is provided for COA Members, along with a smile from our trusted van drivers. Meal donations of $2.50 is suggested, but not required.  

Meals on Wheels:  Meals on Wheels is a self-directed program in which you can call Old Colony Elder Services at 508-584-1561, Intake and Referral or call 781-293-7313 extension 138. Menu's can be found in the Newsletter or on the website under current newsletter.
