Monponsett Pond - Algae Test Results - October 9
On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, MassDEP collected water samples from East and West Monponsett Ponds. The East Monponsett sample collected at the Rt 36 boat ramp in Halifax contained 2,585 cells/ml of cyanobacteria. The West Monponsett Pond sample collected at the state boat ramp contained 3,613 cells/ml of cyanobacteria. These results are below the MDPH guideline level of 70,000 cells/ml. MassDEP plans on sampling again this week.
