- A Chapter 10A Policy (Floating Dock, Float or Raft that is Bottom-Anchored, Seasonal, and not Permanently Pile-Supported)
- A proposed temporary seasonal (i.e., removed by December 31 of any calendar year) float, mooring or raft that is bottom-anchored (not supported by piles, framing, or other footings that rest on the submerged bottom) may be authorized by the local harbormaster or other authorized municipal official if the municipality has an approved Section 10A permitting program. Annual “10A Harbormaster” Permit.

- Chapter 91: (Must be conducted through the State)Currently, any and all docks with piles placed into the waterway bottom/ground will require the proper Chapter 91 authorization from the Department of Environmental Protection's Waterways Regulation Program.
